Air Popcorn Popper

Green coffee beans can be roasted in an Air Popcorn Popper.

This popper sat in my garage when I decided not to use it for making popcorn. The frugal me could not give it to the Goodwill.
One day while I was traveling on the Internet, a video for roasting coffee beans showed up, as if by magic.
The air popper was rescued from the garage and now has a job!

Here is a link to one of a few videos I watched.

Today we stayed close to home and had lunch at this Mexican restaurant. It was VERY GOOD!

Update: the first batch was not roasted enough, tasted a little green.
The second batch I used one cup of green beans, roasted around five minutes which was too long. The beans were oily, a sign of over roasting. My house was smoke filled and decided outside on my deck will be the best place to roast coffee beans.
Youtube videos that I watched initially, proclaimed that the roasted beans should wait a day or two before grinding. This latest video disagrees.

After watching this video, I ground the beans and made a cup of coffee. It still has a green flavor to me, but it was better than the first batch.
