Half a rose is better than none, or is it?

The new fencing is in place and looks very good, even if lots of my plants have been trampled and one clematis is missing altogether.  Never mind, I will start afresh.

JJ has arranged a get-together at an Indian restaurant tonight with a dozen or so friends as a belated 70th birthday celebration and what's more other friends have booked afternoon tea at Woburn Tea Rooms at the end of September, so the partying goes on.

This is half a miniature rose that has been chomped in half, looking rather like some of Anniemay's "botanical" pictures, except I don't know what or who did this.  All I know for certain is that it wasn't Anniemay.
