Rupert!
As promised, the first blip is of Rupert, about the time I put the Koala Bear in the fork of a tree, (1953) there was an appeal for clothing in Africa. I had a sweat shirt fro England emblazoned with pictures of Rupert. P. Bear. So at the age of 5 and giving little consideration to the temperatures of central Africa I donated my sweat shirt. Fast forward fifty years and my beautiful mother in law was knitting little bears as gifts to children in Africa. Coincidentally it was about the time of my birthday when my mother in law Mavis asked what I would like as a present. The second photo was the present that Mavis knitted in the colours of South Sydney football club. Every day when I sit in the office, I catch a glimpse of Rupert II and remember Mavis and all the good she brought to the world.
