Street view

Well, I was standing on a corner but not in Winslow Arizona, to take this blip. I had noticed the building opposite when I was driving past on my way to Kelvingrove Gallery. I stopped on the way home on the corner of Kelvingrove Street as I had been interested in the style of columns and decoration. Lots of Glasgow architecture of the Victorian period is in the Neo Classical style which relies on the styles of Ancient Greece and Rome for influence. Greek columns came in three styles, first Doric, then Ionic and lastly Corinthian before the civilisation went into decline. The Romans copied these styles and added a bit of their own. This is the Weegie version which is not very clear because I was using my phone.
