Empire biscuits

Found an old recipe for biscuits which I wanted to try again. I was hoping they would all survive until tomorrow so some could be taken to my mother-in-law but they seem to be disappearing fast.
I'm sure Mary & Paul would be unimpressed with my consistency & presentation so I'll need to keep practicing.
