Pensthorpe Red Squirrel
A truly wonderful day today around Pensthorpe Natural Park with G. The sun shone, the temperature was just right, I saw my first hare in the wild, the red squirrels were lively, there were lots of butterflies and bees, and the company was fabulous. Having previously explored the central area with the ducks and cranes, today we explored the wider park and the more natural areas. I loved it and hope it becomes a weekly walk.
These red squirrels are part of a captive breeding programme and they are then released into the wild.
Apologies for a lack of comments for the last two days, I'm in London tomorrow so will catch up with your journals on Saturday.
