Small Copper
I'd had two fleeting glimpses of Small Coppers this year before we turned up at our fishing hut on the Dee and found a pair of them flitting around the bank. They stayed with us (or, rather, we stayed with them) all week - a welcome distraction from the toils of fishing for little gain. I love the contrast between the orange and the purple scabious.
What a disappointment, then, to upload it here and find the colours washed out as always. There's almost no point in loading up colour images here that have been processed using Adobe. This is as it should be.
