Fast Flowing Water

They were still moving sand around this morning to adjust the site of the lagoon. I crossed over the channel that was being cleared to release the standing water, and was able to walk all the way to the cliffs for the first time in awhile. The problem came on the way back when I discovered that the water was flowing a lot deeper and faster than just a few minutes earlier. Had to take off my shoes and roll up my cuffs to get across, hoping I wouldn't get knocked over by the force of the tide. After I got through, the lifeguards were turning people back from the channel. All of this took place in the shadow of that dire warning on the new sign by the bulldozer: Danger! May Contain Fast Flowing Water!
