So, I picked up my new bike last night and....then didn't actually ride it in today as I was expecting because when I was online sorting out some insurance (after which I received an email from Lizzie Armitstead - when I use the word 'from' I obviously use it somewhat loosely...an insurance ambassador of sorts, so she is) for it it transpired that I needed an 'approved' lock for it to be covered and the lock that I've been quite happily using for my existing bike ain't an approved one. So, until that quickly-bought approved lock arrives my bike's staying in the hall during the day rather being locked up outside at My Place Of Study in an uninsured state, not really worth the risk is it? It will also be now covered for accidental damage should I decide to liven up future rides in Roslin Glen or similar by crashing again (see here).

Hard and long day of Stuff today, a morning of Language and then some Neo-Marxist theory about Social Reproduction and Social Justice after lunch. Keeps us on our toes.
