Orange Toy Day
A minor contractor explosion here today as both the tree surgeons and the landscapers arrive to do some clearance and the railway foundations respectively.
We thought we had finished with major tree works but our neighbour wanted two sycamores down that were just inside our boundary. We had no opinion either way. Given they were coming down it made sense to remove a couple of others. No objection from the Tree Officer this time, which was a mild surprise.
The amount of light the work has let in to this area of the garden is spectacular.
Meanwhile, on the next level down of the garden, the former tennis court prepares to have a rectangular lawn return, surrounded by the garden railway - so the ManSpade was back to dig out the footings for the railway.
