Wild wood Wednesday

Have been up to Sharpness and the canal again sussing it out for a walk with a group of 'village detectives' from U3A later in the month.  Wonderful to be able to talk to so many people who have lived there all their lives, and their parents before them for they have worked on the docks or for British Waterways.  It has seen much better and busier days and  one old man took a long time to answer when I asked what he now thought of the place but eventually he managed 'It's a morgue ain't it?

And does anyone know what fungi or growth is in the extra - I have done nothing to enhance the colour?
