Who designed this monstrosity?

Whoever thought this recently-erected waymarker would be an attractive addition to the landscape needs their head read!

It sticks out like a sore thumb, but maybe that's the idea. Walkers on the West Highland Way and the John Muir Way will definitely notice it.
