Parkrun

Up nice and early to act as spectator/water-carrier for the girls on there first 'away' parkrun at Saltwell Park in Gateshead before heading straight down to the Baltic 'Kitchen' for a celebratory sausage cob. Then it was off to Edinburgh, pausing for an extra impromptu stopover at Lindisfarne, where we were lucky enough to find that the causeway had just become passable so we drove over for crab sandwiches. Then we had a very pleasant evening eating pizza and shooting the breeze and trying to be sympathetic whilst the middleman himself had to visit the emergency dentist for his toothache...*


*Don't worry, he made the pizza dough first - and he texted the girls to let them know he was okay to cycle back afterwards so that they could get that bottle of pinot opened a little bit sooner. What a hero!
