Backblip of Friday at Shrewsbury Folk Festival.

My son and daughter-in-law joined me for the weekend which was great.

The music and activities began on Friday evening. The band and I led a three hour pub session in the town. We were in the rough bit and it was the first time I've ever been to a session with a bouncer on the door! 

I got back to site around midnight so just time for a bit of a play with a few late night musicians. 

This is F, a wonderful fiddler that makes his instrument sing. He has an encyclopedic memory for traditional tunes and their origin.
