for a Grandstand View

Today was the day for the Festival of Motorcycling at the former RAF station at Jurby.

I did not want to get too involved with all the crowds and traffic so I went there on my bicycle.

As things happened I stopped nearby and decided to have my lunch on the roof of one of the pill boxes near the end of the runway.

I did not have long to wait for the arrival of the Hurricane and Spitfire and I had the most wonderful view of them close up.
