Up!

Mrs Catspaw and I spent an enjoyable hour or two this afternoon exploring Castle Hill above Newhaven Harbour: relatively small amounts of exertion on our part, interspersed with periods just sitting, conversing with other folks up on the hill, and watching the activity of others.

The gentle breeze and up currents from the sea encouraged several paragliders to take to the air from a spot nearby during the course of our visit. One such is seen here soaring above the entrance to Newhaven Harbour, with Seaford Head on the distant horizon. Today's 'Extra' was taken just moments before the main picture, showing some of the local bird population investigating this rather colourful visitor to their accustomed airspace.
