One of the lucky ones

Only time will tell us as to what slice of the pie we have all been applying for tickets for! Spent a great evening in the Olympic Stadium, transport & organisation excellent, choice of food & drink far wider than I was anticipating and a wonderful variety of events - & seeing Bolts & Sanchez' cermenonies was electric. It all felt global yet local until we heard the commentator on the events ...and he sounded like he'd been plucked from Vegas or Madison Sq ("ladies & gentleman....weighing in at 107 pounds........."). No disrespect to friends across the pond, but really this for me was a shocker, was there not a wonderful UK accent to be had?
