Last day

3 shows today- Once, All Quiet on the Western Front and Ada/Ava. Last was definitely the best- a delightful production using shadow puppets, OHP projectors and acetates and also 2 actors with a live band and singer. And they were lovely people - encouraged everyone to come and play with the kit and take photos etc. AQOTW also very well done and moving. Once felt rather self- indulgent though. Bits of it were clever and captivating but there were far too many sections where a member of the cast just leapt around the stage to loud music for no apparent reason. Haven't done well with mime stuff this year! Day finished with very comfy picnic chairs in princess street gardens watching the closing fireworks. Spectacular - the best I've ever seen and Ido love fireworks!
