Double Take!

Normal August weather resumes, hot and sticky with a little light wind.

Shopping this morning stocking up for family arriving on Sunday.   Plenty of cold drinks!   This afternoon, doing all the dirty cleaning jobs, security bars, outside blinds, etc.

I called in the Tourist Information Office this morning to take a look at the Photography Exhibition being displayed there.   The photos were all taken in the Natural Park adjacent to Almerimar and other surrounding areas in the El Ejido district.   Flora, Fauna and the  Heritage of the Salt lakes when salt was harvested.   

All of the pictures were taken by the Park Warden/Ranger, who is in charge of keeping the Park and it's inhabitants in good order.   The guy at the Info Centre told me that the Ranger had said his camera was not very good.   However, I think all the photos were very good and well worth a second visit.

Unfortunately he does not do tours of the Park, but I was given the phone number of a man who does.   During August and September there are a lot of species to be seen, so I shall give him a ring and see what it involves.   I think it is an 11 km walk (leisurely!).
