Unbelievable Devastation

I just got home from spending the last two weeks in Baton Rouge, La assisting with the flood relief efforts. It is unimaginable the devastation. Neighborhood after neighborhood and block after block completely flooded out. Every single thing a lot of these people own has been flooded and pulled out to the street to be hauled to the dump. All of the affected houses will have to be gutted completely down to the stud walls and rebuilt. 

The people here are so wonderful. The entire time we were there all of these people in the affected area offered us water, food, and kind words, even when they barely had enough for themselves. Very, very humbling. I am working on getting back there very soon and continuing to do what little bit I can to help....
