An absolutely stunningly gorgeous NT (National Trust) property!
It was wonderful, a fabulous moated house with beautiful gardens.
A massive dahlia border - arranged in flowing colours - there were photographers  jostling for elbow room all the way down the border in the full glare of the roasting sun (& their depressed looking partners, contemplating just how long it would take their other half to take pics of just a fraction of the dahlias).
The walled garden was the prettiest one I have ever seen - beautiful, informal & full of produce & flowers.
The scone was delicious!
