Not happy campers

Woke feeling too old to camp! The view from our tent was horrendous too. Not a patch of grass in sight.
We made the decision as a trio to leave our tent behind - donating it to charity. We also offered the space for the night before it was collected to some teens we camped near who had struggled with the conditions. They were pretty messy too!
We packed away whilst eating our way through the left over food. Then tackled the hour round trip to car and back.
We spent the day mostly sat in our chairs chatting at main stage. We were fascinated by a colourful array of flares during The Courteeneers performance.(additional) We were treated to a lovely sky too!
The headliners sounded brill too and exceeded my expectations given their age. Although the stage show was a little disappointing.
My lime slush (additional) caused some childish amusement as we rehydrated and watched the stage from a higher view point.
We made good time to the carpark after a pretty treacherous walk back.
We arrived home in the early hours weary and muddy but happy.
