Fireworks
Tuesday started with a cancelled show. We had walked into town to go to the Box Office and collect tickets and buy some more. We then went to the Three Sisters for a comedy show, ordered drinks, then went upstairs to find the show had been cancelled. More annoyingly, two ciders cost £9.90, so we were left sitting there with an expensive drink and no show to go to.
After that, we made our way to the Underbelly for 2 Become 1, a musical comedy about four girls speed dating in the 90s, with a 90s pop soundtrack. It was a really good show.
Back to the flat for dinner after the show, and to get ready for our only pre-booked show of the Fringe - Nina Conti, at the Pleasance. This show was really good too and had me close to tears at some points. The monkey puppet is funny, but I think her best act is putting masks on some of the audience to make them talk.
Coming out of the Pleasance, we headed towards the Grassmarket in search of another show. After ignoring many of the flyers thrust in our faces, Holly grabbed one, recognising a face on it. It was Marijke's improv show we had planned to see anyway, so we took the chance tonight and enjoyed the show.
We stopped at the Royal Mile on the way home for some pizza, and just in time for the Tattoo fireworks at the top end of the Mile.
