DIY day

Our lie in this morning wasn't as lengthy as we'd have liked....my Dad text to say he was coming round!

This was a bonus, as it meant we got up and cracked on with all the jobs we'd planned for today.

Mr A has replaced all the door handles and planed a couple of doors that were sticking; these then needed repainting.

While he did that, I had a general tidy up, starting in the kitchen, clearing and cleaning out cupboards. I'll finish the rest of the house tomorrow as there's dust and sawdust still settling from Mr A's jobs.

He's also put up my new 'shelves' in the dressing room. They're storage boxes but I think they look fab! I got the idea off Pinterest, where I saw a similar idea using old drawers.
Now all my stuff is in the one room, which is better and frees up space elsewhere.

The packing continues, I decided another pair of shoes wouldn't hurt, especially when there's still space and in Mr A's suitcase too, it would be rude not too! ;-)
