Storm

A stormy day. Delivered the last load of last year's barley in the morning, then cleaned the dryer. Well suited weather for that as the wind blows the dust out! Luckily got it done just before the inevitable power failure began. Actually that happened just as I was closing the doors and about to turn off the lights.

The wind was harder than most storms, but luckily it didn't rain much. Even though rain could have caused even more damage, it was very bad as it was. The power failure covered most of the countryside and lasted very long in many places. We got power at midnight, after 9 hours 41 minutes, but many areas are still without power as I'm writing this over 27 hours after it began in our area. Actually, a lot of our village just got power back less than an hour ago. In the extra photo, half a spruce hanging on a power line which is probably the cause of that.
