What a difference ......

 ...... an hour makes!!

The photo on the left was taken at 17.05 today, the one on the right at 18.08.
Exactly the same settings on the camera, both photos taken from the back door (forgive the brown bins please we are in the process of a very slow garden make-over!!).
It got so dark we could not see in the house, the rain belted down, the lightening lightened and the thunder thundered.  We lost satellite reception on the TV for half an hour.

I thought it may be the apocolypse!

An hour later it was like a different day and even the sun peeped out for a moment - well, it brightened up anyway!!!

Not the most artistic of photos but a reminder of a weather-filled day!!
