Egg-laying

This dragonfly was busy placing her eggs below the waterline.  I hope she knows what she is doing as the water levels at the moment are very high and in the short term are likely to drop significantly thereby exposing her eggs to the air.  I don't know if this will damage the eggs but I suspect it might.
