Roses

Not many left now and the scent seems to wear off as the summer goes on. The Japanese beetles seem to have departed, whether of their own accord or from my spraying, I have no idea. I did very little  spraying.  This is a  hedge rose that I planted many years ago. There was no flower garden here, except for a few peonies, when we bought the place  24 years ago.The windows were held in by the paint!

Another 1.2 inches of rain last night.
