Marymass Festival, Irvine

I don't fully understand what it is all about but Mary Queen of Scots is involved, and another four Marys. And the Carters Society- Irvine flourished as a sea port and the carters were essential for moving goods to and from Glasgow by horse and cart, today they are a charitable organisation. Horse racing is also involved - including Clydesdale racing!
