Rope Ferry

We had lunch by the river in The Saracen's Head pub at Symonds Yat. The rope ferry was In demand to ferry walkers from one side of the river to the other. Those wanting to cross ring a bell and one of the young men from the Pub go out to haul the boat across the River Wye.
