The Mere

Work this morning then a 60 mile round trip for a hospital appointment at lunchtime, but on the way back managed a few minutes to sit on a bench and share my sandwich (gluten free!) with the ducks, geese and other wildlife at The Mere, Ellesmere. The black clouds were threatening but the rain kept off. Bright sunshine, of course, when I returned to work for the latter part of the afternoon. Is this the law of sod?
