A-a-atchoo!

That is not smoke or mist or dust rising from the hills - it is pine pollen rising in great clouds from the pine forests tucked in behind those hills. Out come the tissues and the antihistamines for the many who suffer from hayfever.

The yellow pollen lies in drifts in some places where the wind has blown it and covers cars, windows and any flat surface. It is pointless hosing it off the deck as there will be just as much tomorrow. We just have to wait until this part of spring is over.
