Simon the Pieman

I often drive round Rye and sometimes through but it's ages since I've stopped and had a wander around. It's a tourist mecca so today it was busy in the sunshine but lovely to have a mooch. I had a coffee in a smashing café next to the train station so I could watch folk arriving for a weekend away and waiting for cabs or the bus to Camber.

I'm a tad worried about the claim that Simon's place was the first tearoom in Rye and it opened in 1920 - what did folk do for a brew and a pasty before then?

Another day lugging around a DSLR but using my phone for photography; I might leave the camera in the car a little more often.
