Soup Bowls for the Food Bank!

One of my favorite things to throw are bowls, especially round soup bowls!   There are a few potters here on Cape Breton Island who are banding together to create many soup bowls, and then in conjunction with some of the great chefs we have here, they will be sold with soup in them, at a special event, all proceeds to go to the Food Bank!   So this morning i made 40 soup bowls....just a note: those rims are not solid, they are hollow - it's a technique i love doing, rolling the rim to create some heft without the weight!  The event will be sometime near the end of September, maybe i'll make a few more before then!  

I've also decided that i'll use this shape of soup bowl for my showroom....haven't made rolled rimmed soup bowls before....i think they'll sell well!
