Plugged in the Bunker

Well I did say that I was going to blip from Gleneagles. I was thinking of a nice reflective image on one of the ponds. However after driving off the 8th tee playing a 3 wood for safety it went too far and ended up in a bunker. My partner (Sports writer Ronnie Cully of the Evening Times) who I had driven safely round to this point took to the wheel and reversed it into another bunker. It wasn't the first bunker he had been in but it was the only one with the buggy. Driving's not his strong point but he's good in the bunkers. Good hole eventually I played from the bunker, pitched to 2 ft and holed the putt for a par winning the hole. A great day out and thanks to Elaine, Heather and Graeme for their hospitality and to Monty for posing for pics before we went out. Monty was going to be my blip but this incident I felt had to be seen to be believed. Should I mention that I won the event...The prize...afternoon tea for two at Gleneagles.
