The 'Welcome' of Rochester

The Welcome of Rochester is of interest to me because she is the fictional Thames Barge which features in one of Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazons series of books - Coot Club.

On this day - lacking in blip inspiration - I was thinking of my good friend Bernard whose hobby is making model ships. He made this one for me a few years ago "because his house has no more room to display his models!"

It's a superbly detailed authentic replica, made from scratch using professionally drawn plans.

I just like it a lot.
