Another scorcher, too hot to think. Baby Blackie sort of owns our fishpond area and loves to perch in the ivy bush. It's getting quite bold.

I went for a walk with the camera in the late afternoon and photographed the first whitethroat that I have captured on our property, a female I think. Wonder if it has stopped off here on the way back to Africa? The long-tailed-tit troupe were in evidence and I was pleased to spot a tiny goldcrest in the blackthorn hedge. (Extras)
