Scorpion

A bit of a dull day here in Gloucestershire with drizzle on and off but it didn't matter too much as it gave me some time to faff around with photographs on the computer.

Back to the hospital today yet again with my wretched ankle and with a bit of manipulation it did surprisingly feel a bit better - so getting there. 

Trotted slowly wandered round a couple of local fields checking the hedgerows for unsuspecting blipping suspects and it really looked rather bleak and quiet really. However I did stumble across this female scorpion fly who had her beady eyes on another fly's dinner just over her head. The camera lens proved far too off-putting and she made a jump for it just as I was trying to sidle round to get her all in.
