Compton Verney

We went to Compton Verney with Beryl today. Arriving by coffee time, we had a drink then went outside to find a shady spot for our picnic.

Later Beryl and I went round the 1950s exhibition followed by the BBC Photo Archive of great comedy series actors, meeting Ann after and doing the Chinese Gallery exhibition.

It was a beautiful day and we took a wander round the Capability Brown grounds and lake. This butterfly stayed long enough on the buddleia bush for me to take a picture. I think it's a Painted Lady but am open to correction.

This evening we went for a meal at The Stag at Redhill. Food was good, service was slow.
