Finish Arena

It was the fourth day at the O-Ringen and one where we had a chairlift ride to the start and a run back through the terrain towards the arena. Sadly, when we went up it coincided with a shower and it was distinctly Baltic sat in the rain going up to the top station. Along with many others we huddled inside before going to the start at the last moment. Annoyingly it stopped raining very soon after I started and it turned warmer. I managed to do the early controls in my cagoule and then on a long leg took it off. The blip is the finish area just as the last finishers straggle in. The chairlifts remained open the rest of the day, so we went back up and walked on the tops. There are a lot of Golden Plover up there and I really like their calls; it’s part of summer and we missed it in Scotland this year.
