Absent artist

On our way along the A19 this afternoon, we stopped for a brief visit to Mount Grace Priory.
In spite of its proximity to the busy road, I am always struck by how peaceful this place is. Currently they are clearing away some of the overgrown woods directly behind it which will improve the setting.
In front of the ruins was this artist's easel and painting, however the artist was nowhere to be seen whilst we were there.
