Walker Beware

In all my years of walking I have only ever seen three adders. Two have been spotted in the last few months. Today having dropped onto the forest road off Stony Moor we met this specimen basking on the Tarmac. Jet was quickly fielded and we edged our way around to the side.

I ensured I kept a respectable distance! Although local hospitals stock the anti venom I decided not to test its effectiveness.
