Blade of light

In this picture you can see right across to Stockers Down. The clouds were terrific and, yes, that is rain coming in. But for about a minute there was a flash of sun across the barley, which just lightened everything and played well, I thought, to the current obsession with gold..

Tired today, so apologies if I'm sounding pedantic, but I called this 'Blade of light' because I like the way a line of sun shoots to the righthand edge, just bringing out the contour of the land.

Usain Bolt - what can you say? Another blade of light. Overwhelming!
