A Walk On The Mendips
Blessed with a sunny morning and an unexpected burst of energy, Tess & I took a walk up Ebbor Gorge (near Wookey Hole) on to the top of The Mendips.
Despite a slight detour (the instructions in the guide book were 'ambiguous', was the excuse I gave under interrogation!) and several pauses to enjoy the view / get our breath back, it only took us half an hour longer than it said in the book and we were in plenty of time for a well deserved pint of Butcombe and a large plate of ham, egg and chips at The Queen Victoria at Priddy, one of our favourite Somerset pubs.
This afternoon we have mostly been sitting down with our joints growing progressively stiffer.
This was taken on the final descent.
