Hatched - Gulp !

Our House Martins are having a roller coaster year.

* Arrive at nest in May - all well
* Nest half collapses, they understandably desert
* Right at the end of July, a team arrives and rebuilds
* What is going on
* Today we found out - eggs hatch. that on the left is sitting on a 5p, that on the right on a 20p. They are tiny, and the eggs are very fragile - soft shells, almost reptilian
*  Last year the eggs hatched on the 13th June (I blipped it). They are over 2 months late
* These scraps of life will have to go some to grow, fledge, practice flying and eating on the wing, and then head to Africa, dealing with hazards a plenty on the way
* Maybe October - Gulp !

This is not too well focussed, and I have much better ones in a sense of Ordsall Hall (see extra). But I've got to give it to these determined little birds
