Goldies!

Four goldfinches having a feast just now.  I was reminded out of the blue that my mother's nursemaid, Emma,  in the 1920"s called her Goldie. Emma died before I was born, but she was close to my mother until my mother was married and had the second of her four children.  I'm missing my mother a lot these days.  These goldies brought it all back.
