Large Red Damselfly

Well I say large but it is actually only about 4cms in length and kindly flew on and off this cane giving me a chance to focus quite well. Really hot and sunny today and I spent most of it indoors! We had a WI visit to Leekes,a large furniture plus garden centre store.It was interesting hearing a talk about the origins of the family owned business,having morning coffee and lunch free of charge and discount cards to use. As soon as I got home I planted up some bargain Gazanias I'd bought and enjoyed the last of the sun whilst weeding.
