Bus Challenge No 99!!

Ely Cathedral

A stunning day of blue skies and sunshine, and temperatures of 31 degrees! And a short bus trip across The Fens to the cathedral city of Ely!!

After a wander around the outside of the cathedral, I walked down to the riverside and visited the amazing antiques centre, housed in an old warehouse (extra No1). With three storeys to browse, I was spoilt for choice, and came away with a pair of tiny vintage Japanese Sake cups, and a glass paperweight. After all that shopping, I found a bench by the river for a rest and a picnic lunch, and watched the boats go by (extra No2) before wandering back through the park to the cathedral (extra No3) and the bus home. Three hours was long enough for me out in that heat...
