Lemon Balm

One of the herbs in my garden - it makes a lovely tea!  

I saw the Doctor today who immediately diagnosed the problem with my thumb: Osteoarthrosis - uneven wear of the bones at the base of the joint which grate together and cause pain.  He does not recommend massage or special exercises.  Just pain relief as needed and if it gets too dire : surgery!!  Apparently this is mostly found in women.  He has never seen a man with it!!
