98 not out
Flying visit up to Bridlington, East Yorkshire today to celebrate B's Gran's 98th birthday, certainly not to be missed.
She is incredibly vibrant, sharp, warm and independant. She has a better memory than most people half her age and is in wonderfully rude health - I put it down to her love of pork pies and a glass of Sherry on a Sunday.
It was wonderful to catch up with friends and family and the evening was well and truly topped off by three Olympic golds within about half an hour. B's family are largely Sheffield folk so the roof was raised when Jessica Ennis did them, and us all, proud.
